I created Following the Path after participating in a mission trip to Ghana, West Africa, organized by Youth Initiatives In Education and Leadership Development for Mt. Carmel Redevelopment Corporation, Inc. in 2002. Joining over 60 travelers, including my son and me, the journey was a deep dive into learning about our ancestral past and strengthening our global African brotherhood. This piece captures that spiritual reconnection to our indigenous roots. The figures are linked together in unity, each carrying traditional Ghanaian Adinkra symbols representing wisdom and virtue.
